So I’m way behind on my #bloglikecrazy days of
thanksgiving but here’s what’s been going on in my neck of
the woods to encourage my praise of thankfulness.
"If you have only one smile in you, give it to the people you love. Don't be surly at home, then go out in the street and start grinning 'Good morning' at total strangers."- Maya Angelou
I’m thankful for my family.
I have a huge family (my
grandfather is one of 10) and I’ve never felt lost in the crowd. Sometimes in
bigger families you can feel isolated, lonely, and forgotten but I have a
family who I know loves and supports me and never lets me down in the laughter department.
I couldn’t have asked for a better set of grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles,
and cousins.
My family is truly an example of “it takes a village” and I have
taken away some key nuggets from them that I apply in my role as a parent and within my own
family. Of everything I’ve learned from them closeness is the one I cherish the
most.
No matter how far away they may be the connection we have keeps them close
within my heart and I love them like crazy!
All my love,
Caneeka
