For Martin Luther King Jr.

My dearest brother Martin,

I want to thank God for your life.
For the vision that God had for you when you were in your mothers womb to take a stand that others would never be able to fathom.
For not allowing God's vision for your life to be void through disobedience but to honor and obey His calling on your life to be all that you were destined to be.
You walked a road I couldn't imagine walking.
You empowered a nation with your class, your belief, and your dreams to see a change in America.
You led a movement so historic just hearing about it gives me chills.
Because you did not give up and become weary in well doing I have been able to reap your blessed harvest.
For running the race, for fighting the good fight, for always being faithful in the most High, WE are able to finish your race!

And for that I am eternally Thankful!

Wishing you a Happy 84th Birthday!

What a beautiful poem! Amazing to see the first African-American being sworn in for his second term as president on MLK Day. A beautiful thing.

Thanks for the comment! Just wanted to let you know that you are a "no-reply blogger" under your settings so people can't reply to you when you post. You may want to go change that. All you have to do is mark your E-mail as "visible". :-)
