Day 5: I am thankful for spaghetti

Have you ever had a Manic Monday that was manic every Monday? No? Well that's how Mondays are. But this Monday in particular was one of those days where all I could do was sit quietly and stare into the horizon. Lol!

Have you ever had one of those days where you didn't have to energy to go toe to toe with your toddler? Or family member? Or husband? Or friends? And all you could do was focus on something else. Well that's how my week has been and as I listened to my son have a meltdown about wanting oatmeal instead of spaghetti I realized how thankful I was for the food on my plate.

I remember a year ago when I was like my son crying because our refrigerator was empty more than it was full and we were no longer eating those steaks but instead we were eating hamburger helper. The beauty in God changing our season is that my son has been blessed enough to have options.

Even though his meltdown made me want to slither into invisible mom :) I realized how grateful I was to sit down with him, meltdown included, and eat one of my favorite dishes.

We can't win them all but we can learn to be appreciative when we want to scream.

All my love,

Caneeka
