Share a time when you felt spiritually abandoned?
The moment I found out that my fiancé passed away was the first time I felt COMPLETELY abandoned. My body was there, but my spirit was someplace else. When I got out of bed, I went through the motions of life. I was just waking up to get through the next moment.
Share a time when you felt broken
Not only did I feel broken during this moment of loss, a part of me died with him. Little did I know it was my moment of rebirth.
Share the moment when you discovered your purpose OR the moment you received a revelation of what your purpose might be?
One day, I left my apartment to take a walk and I noticed something different. Instead of "getting through" the moment I was "just being" in the moment. There was a peace that came over my body. The flowers and trees were swaying in the wind. The birds were singing, the sun was shining, water glistening, and I felt them all surround me with their love. This overwhelming sense of oneness came over me. I stood back and smiled knowing that everything was connected and I was a part of it. After this moment, I started really tuning in to my spiritual knowing and started connecting with the source. This moment of truth helped guide me in my passion and that is helping others by using my intuition and awareness to help their soul find peace.
When you are hardest hit how do you motivate yourself to press on?
One of the pieces of advice Nick gave me before he died was, "You just need to keep on moving." It's something that stuck with me. Instead of "moving on" from past hurts, keep on moving. Living one breath at a time is how I lived for a while. I live at my own pace and that's what keeps me going during a difficult time. Another thing I do is make a list of things I want to do before reaching Heaven. It feels great to live life like this because we really don't know how long we have here.
What have you learned in this season of your life?
I've learned that the sun will always shine and there will be a brand new day to start again. This is our moment to live the life we are meant to live. Looking back, I know my most difficult moments were those moments of rebirth and growth to live my purpose. Everything has been in divine timing.
What advice would you give to those who feel like their story is over?
You are here for a purpose. If you weren't here, that would mean your work here is done. If you aren't your authentic self, you will do the world an injustice because they can't learn from your story. You are a being of love and light; shine it brightly. You are perfect just the way you are.
Send me a picture of your favorite pair of heels and let me know why they are your favorite!
These are my favorite heels because they remind me of times of suffering and the moments I kept on moving. I kept on going and I walked right through the pain and faced it head on. I was completely broken open and I did everything in my power to heal and get to know my newborn self.
