Fulfill the God said... Happy Father's Day

In my 9th month of pregnancy my husband tells me that God told him to leave his corporate job as a budget analyst to become a sports performance coach/personal trainer. Say what Lord... You want him to do what? In my 9th month of pregnancy?! Lord we need to chat.

2 years ago we took a LEEEEEAP! I'm talking about baby hold on, I'm praying for a ram in the bush type of leap. House payment, car notes, sallie Mae, baby on the way; you have to know in the depth of your heart that you are married to a man of God to make such a jump.

No it hasn't been easy. We have been tested, laughed at, looked at crazy, struggled, questioned God, prayed our way through the bills and lack thereof but God...

Just when things felt too burdensome.
Just when we were about to ask God to step into our secret closet so that we could reconvene about what He had Scott doing, we were given a glimpse of peace and hope.

Today, on the brink of Father's Day, we had the grand opening for the facility! It was beautiful, exciting, empowering to hear how Scott has impacted the lives of his clients holistically because God had more up his sleeve than physical fitness when he called Scott. He wanted him to touch the spiritual beings that lives within each of us for the gateway into the physical transformation. Today the Holy Spirit reminded me, as I was watching and talking that, His ways are not our ways.

God took a numbers guy and brought him into an arena where he had the fitness knowledge from being an athlete his entire life but not the experience to teach someone and molded him into a certified trainer and strength and conditioning specialist. Scott's dream was to become a CFO. NOW he's that and more. He's the owner! The Holy Spirit reminded me that when seasons change you better be open minded about where the next season will take you because it might not be anything on your radar but it will be greater than what you've imagined.

Today the Mayor came out to commemorate this day with a ribbon cutting ceremony and if that doesn't make you shout I don't know what else to tell you.
Remember the God said! There is something that, years ago, God said to you for you to DO and you purposely forget because you are too afraid to do it. But REMEMBER the God Said and then FULFILL IT! Need a daily reminder? Get your fulfill the #Godsaid t-shirt from the Behind the Makeup shop. (Micah 6:8)

Just as I was asking God to give me NEW words to describe my love for Scott. Words I haven't used to express how much I appreciate him as a husband and father. Words that will make you understand how amazing I think he is and how I admire his obedience to God; His selflessness, his surrender, his peaceful demeanor. Just when I thought I didn't have a Fathers Day post, God shows me the God said in action and for that I say Happy Father's Day to all of the men praying over their homes, surrendering to the voice of God, casting their burdens on THE Father as He leads you into YOUR God said.
It might not be easy but my Kings it WILL be worth it!
You continue to #pressOn and be the man God has called you to be!

I salute and celebrate you!

All my love,
Caneeka
