I’m Caneeka and Behind The Makeup you will find stories about my journey as a woman, wife and mother.
I started blogging at removethemakeup.com back in 2005 when blogging was a form of journaling. God gave me a specific vision about the importance of sharing my story, being transparent and the impact it would have on everyone who heard it.
Over the years I’ve learned some fun lessons and some not so fun lessons about the exchange that happens when I remove the metaphorical makeup that has the tendency to hold me captive and instead leave those burdens at His feet.
Those revelations are what I share here: My heart, my heartbreaks, my passion.
